LOOL THIS IS SAD!
I’ve kept this submission in my inbox for a while now. To remind me that everyone on Tumblr and everyone online is a potential crazy asshole.
A few months ago (I believe) my husband started getting messages from a girl with a sex blog. She was very interested in him, asking a lot of questions, some of which were very personal. Husband said she seemed like a nice trustworthy person and during their private Tumblr conversations husband revealed many personal facts about himself, things he wouldn’t normally tell people, let alone publish in his blog. I haven’t seen these messages but from what he’s told me, she seemed to be rather fond of him.
She stared following me too and sent me a couple of friendly messages. One day I got a message from her along with this rude e-card. I was confused. Who would have wanted to insult me? Not many people talk to me on Tumblr and I certainly hadn’t insulted anyone else. It pissed me off so I tracked down the IP from which this anonymous submission came from. It was her, the fangirl. The e-card came from the city she lives in, her IP, her computer, at a time that she was verifiably online on Tumblr, stalking on my blog.
I confronted her about the message and she pretended like she didn’t know what I was talking about. Husband asked her about it. Her explanation was ridiculous. She told him that a family member must have had stolen her laptop from her, opened her browser, gone through her brower history, picked my blog at random, then sent me a rude anonymous submission for no reason at all. Aha. Husband told me that he too had received anonymous submissions from ‘abc@123.com’. What a coincidence. This family member must have had stolen her laptop many times! Without her noticing. Ever.
The second - and more credible - explanation is that she liked my husband too much and wanted to hurt my feelings.
The only reason why I’m not publishing this person’s Tumblr URL is because I can’t prove it. Although it came from her computer and although her so called explanation was completely ridiculous, there’s a slight 0,0000001 % chance that she didn’t actually do it. It doesn’t matter. I wanted to share this because I think it’s important to remember that you shouldn’t blindly trust anyone online, ever.
